National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is a club at Creek and is exclusive to students who have taken any two art classes at CCHS (examples: drawing and design, photography, jewelry, etc.) and have received a B or above. Students are handpicked to be part of the club who show an outstanding ability and interest in art. NAHS members create art within the school and community.

Memory Project
This national project has a unique initiative in which art students create portraits for children and teens around the world that have been neglected, orphaned, or disadvantaged. Given that kids in such situations tend to have few personal keepsakes, the memory project aims to provide them with special memories that capture a piece of their childhood - portable pieces of their personal history. As much as possible, the memory project also wants to help the kids see themselves as works of art.
Select members of NAHS receive photos of kids on the Memory Project waiting list, and this year’s National Art Honor Society had the privilege to create portraits of ten orphans in Ghana. Students then worked in any medium to create the portraits (drawing, painting, digital art, collage, etc.). When the portraits are complete, we send the portraits to the kids as gifts. The Memory Project team hand delivers the portraits and takes photos and videos of the kids holding their portraits so the art students can see the delivery in action. Seeing the expressions and reactions of the kids is something the art students look forward to every year!
